A developer plans to convert a warehouse in Palm Beach Gardens to an office building and to build a self-storage facility next door.


The city’s development review committee is scheduled on Friday to consider the mixed-use project proposal by Nuvo Development LLC.


The developer reportedly has a contract to buy an existing 37,902-square-foot warehouse and an 5,167-square-foot office building on a 3.4-acre site at 10384 Riverside Drive in Palm Beach Gardens.


The property last sold for $8 million in 2007,  a source told


Florida real estate company DiVosta, a subsidiary of Pulte Group Inc., previously used the warehouse to store materials for home building.


Nuvo Development, an affiliate of Winter Park-based Nuvo Company, plans to turn the warehouse into a 17,613-square-foot office building, retain the existing  5,167-square-foot office building  and build a self-storage facility with almost 100,000 square feet of space.


Nuvo is led by chief executive officer Gary Cardamone, who founded group of self-storage properties under the Stor-A-Way brand with his brother Rich Cardamone in 1999. They sold the properties in 2007. [] – Mike Seemuth
